On October 1, we added nine new members to our honor role of Rotary heroes.

The Honor Roll Program started in 2013 with 10 Rotarians recognized by engraving their names on pavers located at the entrance of Rotary Park pavilion. All of those Rotarians were deceased, so we went back into the archives to identify key Rotarians who made significant contributions toward the goals of the club. Some of the names were from 1950, the Charter Year for our club. Included was Bob Hockstad, the club's first president. From 2013 thru 2021 the names of 61 Rotarians are engraved on pavers in Rotary Park.

Primarily due to COVID, the club has not added to Honor Roll in three years. Some catching up was needed in 2024. As a result in May 2024 the committee recommended nine candidates for the Honor Roll. The board approved all of them. The ceremony was held at Rotary Park with the unveiling of all the pavers that have engraved names of our heroes.

Special thanks go out to Rotary Historian and Emcee Jim Sak for providing the commentary.
