Be sure to attend!

Two significant activities occur at our June 6, 7 am, meeting at Harbor Pavillion

1. Installation of club officers for 2023-2024

2. Club vote on $5,000 grant for Pure Water for the World (PWW)

New officers take over on July 1. Please attend and thank retiring officers for their service and welcome our leaders for the new year. Also, a summary of our club's accomplishments in the past year and some plans for the next year will be shared. Prepare to get involved as we continue moving forward by serving others!

Our club received a $5,000 grant request from PWW. The vetted grant request is attached for your review. The International Services committee, Good Works committee, and the Board have approved this grant request. The entire club must vote on approving any grant of this amount. We'll vote on June 6. You must attend the meeting to be able to vote.

Please review the grant request herehttps://clubrunner.blob.core.windows.net/00000001385/en-ca/files/homepage/pww-grant-request-2023/Rotary_PWW-Request-for-Funds_May-2023.pdf. Additional information rom PWW that outlines the first phase of their fundraising follow:

Elk Rapids Rotary has participated for at least ten years in the work of PWW in Haiti and this grant continues that support. A $5,000 grant from our club results in a match of these funds, so PWW receives double our contribution.  Personal donations are also matched up to $20,000. For more information, please contact Bill Donberg.

  Together, Let's Make Waves!

Your support helps children and families in need of safe water

For 24 years, Pure Water for the World, Inc. (PWW) has been committed to ensuring all people have reliable access to safe water and sanitation and the knowledge to sustain it for future generations. PWW teams have worked tirelessly to establish robust, impactful safe water, sanitation and hygiene education (WASH) programs in the most rural, underserved regions of Haiti and Honduras.

Over the years, we have seen what happens when children and families gain reliable access to our most basic human necessity. It transforms lives and opens doors to health, opportunity, and prosperity. This impactful work has transformed lives.

The PWW Board of Directors has initiated a challenge to help more children and families gain reliable access to safe water in 2023, setting a goal to raise $100,000 by June 30.

The Board believes so much in this investment that is kicking off the wave by personally contributing the first $25,000, leaving $75,000 to raise .

"Will you help us reach this goal of making waves that transform lives?" - Bill Meub, Board President

The next $20,000 received will be matched 100%!

PWW has a backlog of families and communities waiting to receive safe water filters and the essential hygiene training that will dramatically improve their quality of life and even save the lives of their children. Your contribution, of any amount, helps make this possible.

Your investment changes lives for generations!
