The final total is in and we'll be writing checks to Good Samaritan, ACTS, and ER Food Pantry for $1,917 each from the proceeds of the Christmas Auction. In addition, Jim Nothoff has applied to the GT Foundation for a $1,000 match for each of the awards, so that each will get nearly $3,000 from our work on their behalf.
Thank you again to all that participated, as it was a good time, with great foodand good company. We did a good thing.
Christmas and New Year Hiatuses
Because of the holidays, and reduced need for meetings, both the Good Works Committee and the Regular Board Meeting will not be held in December. Additionally, we well not have morning meetings on 12/24 or 12/31 so that you can get your last minute shopping in, and so you can sleep in the morning of New Year's Eve in the hope that you'll still be awake at midnight.
You Boettcher Life
Finally, for those of you expecting a visit from the guy below, you only have a few days to shape up and get on the good list. For your sakes, I wish you well!
Merry Christmas!

President's Message
On the eve of moving into our club's 75th Anniversary year, we'll want to look forward, and backward, as we embark on our next 75 years. Norm got us started with a summary of his year as president at last week's meeting. As the saying goes, "some things never change," and even though Norm's tenure was 30+ years ago, the issues the club were dealing with were much the same. One item that struck a chord with many of us was the club's effort to recognize area public workers and first responders with a celebration meal. That idea may get some traction. Another was an organized club attendance at an Elk Rapids High School sporting event, showing community spirit and promoting the club. A good idea we might follow up on.
Looking ahead, our hard-working BBQ leadership team is developing new plans for the event in 2025 that will address some of the voiced concerns club member. It's exciting, and I'm looking forward to Jennifer and Larry sharing more with you.
So, bring on 2025, our 75th year, and let it be our best yet.
