What is your community involvement in Elk Rapids and other places of residence during the year?
Several months ago, Tom Vranich asked each of us to share where we volunteer, other than our Rotary participation. In an effort to become more acquainted with our fellow members, we'd like to share the results of his inquiry. Whether you are knee deep in soil in one of the ten Village Gardens or are assisting in Habitat in another county, let Tom and me know before next Tuesday's meeting. Sometimes, we share all things Rotary, over breakfast or a fundraiser, yet we do not know about our compadres and their other services. Tom stated recently that he has a few heavy hitters he would like to hear from.
The Washington Post) Analysis/ How many books did you read in 2023? Are you in the top 1 percent?LINK
If you read one book, you are in the 46th percentile. If you read more than 50 books, you are in the 99th percentile.
Beginning next week, we will have book talks from our Rotary Members. Share three sentences about your current reads that other members might find interesting. I suspect we are a club of readers. After all, what is more inviting on a cold, blustery day than a pot of soup, crusty bread, a good book and of course a cat!
