Our next meeting will feature Paul Brink, President of the Warm Hearts Foundation.  Warm Hearts has been providing humanitarian assistance to the children of both Malawi and Kenya, Africa for 20 years.  
Additionally, Mark Davidson will provide his member forum.  We look forward to hearing about Mark’s adventures during his career.  

 
 
 
Calling all veterans!  Were you in the armed forces? Whether you served in the states or abroad, we’d like to know.  Please let us know so that we may recognize you during our November 7 meeting.

Matching Grant Opportunity 
The Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation will be matching donations by Rotarians  to 501(c)(3) nonprofit, educational and governmental organizations within Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, or Leelananau Counties. You can have up to $250 match and you can donate to multiple organizations
 
if you wish, applications need to be submitted by December 1 to Julia Pollister- Amos or you can mail it to P.O. Box 814,  Elk Rapids, MI 49629. We highly recommend you take advantage of this opportunity.  See Julia for the application.
 
 
 
 
Salvation Army Bell Ringing
Rotarian Larry Kraus is coordinating bell ringing for November. He is looking for volunteers to sign up for a two-hour shift, beginning at 10 am, on weekends at Village Market. Rotarians have been long- time supporters of the work that the Army provides.
 
Look for the signup sheet at the Tuesday Morning Meeting.  We still need a December Coordinator. Please volunteer.

District Governor 
Our Rotary district is looking for Rotarians who would like to run for the position of District Governor for the 2026-27 fiscal year.  Applications need to be submitted by November 15.  If you are interested, contact Chief Administrative Officer Kathy Hegedus at kathyh@ ridistrict6290.org.  
 

 
 
 
Christmas Auction 
Past ER Rotary Presidents Gary Chenoweth and Tom Stephenson are once again planning the annual Christmas Auction (December 5, HERTH).  More details are coming soon, but the dress is Sunday best - nice outfits according to Tom.  Good Works will be surveying to determine  community need.  
 
Snow birds will be asked to consider donating to the auction in the form of a gift basket or a special service .  Donations anew also accepted if you would like to authorize someone to bid for you.  More details will be forthcoming.  
 
 
HERTH is Cleaning Up!
 
Saturday morning, Tom Vranich and Don Pond plus additional volunteers will clean out the upper balcony of Rotary materials to make room for costumes for theater performances.  Call Tom for additional information for the cleanup.
