Join us on Tuesday, May 14 for our breakfast meeting at Happy Camper. Today, we will feature Jim Nothoff presenting his member forum. Jim has worn many hats during his lifetime.
Additionally, we will have a Rotary Minute regarding Bob Chaphalkar's visit to Pune Metro Club, India. There will also be a PHF awarded.
Our summer location beginning June 4 through September 24 is The Edward C. Grace Memorial Harbor.

The Rotary Club of Elk Rapids
will celebrate a birthday on June 9. Chartered on June 9, 1950 with 29 charter members. Its not too early to plan a 75th celebration.

News from Good Works
Approved from membership $6,00 for student desks for Malawi, Africa.
The board has also approved money for the Skegemog Raptor Center and Art Rapids for their summer concert.
CLUB MEETING
Laura Savoie introduced a need to raise RI dues to cover current charges. Membership voted to accept the increase. See club membership minutes for details.
Ed Boettcher presented a report from the fundraising task force. Recognizing that this is a challenging task that Rotary Club of Elk Rapids faces, the committee is recommending a goal of each member raising $1,000. After a lengthy and very healthy discussion, membership approved the motion to refer this back to the board for a finite description of the membership ask.
