at 7 am
First Presbyterian Chirch
Our morning meeting will continue at First Presbyterian Church where Blaine Campbell will present a member forum about his career and adventures of raising two daughters and working in the field of geology.

President Paula is looking for additional ideas for weekly speakers.  If you have an area of interest or a specific speaker in mind, please let her know.  Speakers are already scheduled for the month of April as well as some in May, but there are many weeks available.  Additionally,  please provide feedback on weekly speakers.  I received several positive comments on both topics of food insecurity and opioid crisis in Northern Michigan.

March Board Meeting
News
  • President Elect Dale facilitated the March 12 Board Meeting with the following items of action:
  • Voted to cancel the Duct Tape Ball.  It was felt that the club could not host the event successfully as just a social event.  We do not believe we have the volunteer support to do it.
  • Voted to donate $1000 to Empty Bowls.
  • Notified that Good Works is recommending a donation of $500 for the Easter Egg Hunt
  • Seeking leadership for  another successful Harbor Days BBQ.  A detailed guide of what is required of the leadership is available.  Jen Reynolds, the Sauce Goddess will be back with us, but firm commitments on leadership are needed in order to guarantee a BBQ.
  • Plans for the “One and Done Fundraising continue.  We will need the support and talents of all Rotarians in order to raise the $40,000-60,000 needed for Good Works Grants.
