President's Message
Wow. $53,207. That's the final number for our first-ever fall fundraising campaign.
Those behind the effort, particularly Ed, Blaine, and Doug, deserve a huge thank you and well done for the work they put into this. It certainly has exceeded what we budgeted for, and my personal, most optimistic estimate.
Now, the challenge going forward is to get the community more involved with our fundraising. As we said up front, the fundraiser is meant to encourage donations from both club members as well as the community. Ed's already working on plans to drive the community side of this more effectively for the next campaign.
Men's Shed
Thank you to Jim Novak, the driving force behind the Men's Shed in Acme, who enlightened us about the operation at Tuesday's meeting.
Currently over 50 area men enjoy the projects and fellowship of the workshop twice a week, at which they use donated space in the old Kmart building to respond to community needs with woodworking projects. As Novak points out, the fellowship is a large part of this providing a needed socialization outlet for many of the participants.

School Follow Up
At the 1/28 meeting Bryan McKenna talked about Mill Creek Elementary's change to a charter school, not Lakeland Elementary. Thanks to Pam Williams for catching that and proving that at least someone is reading these bulletins.
