At The HERTH in Elk Rapids recently, Skegemog Raptor Center director James Manley (with a beard) led a presentationon Michigan raptors, explaining the various types seen in the state. Later, volunteers brought out Krestel Teah, Broad-Wing Hawk Ester, and Red-Tail Hawk Pearl to explain their injuries (all due to car hits) and rehabilitation. The audience was then invited to examine examples of raptor wings, feet, and bones.
